Perfect screen for Steam Deck and Samsung DEX

I’m a VR enthusiast and own several headsets. Tbh I didn’t care much for AR or MR. The Airs changed that and now they are my favorite screen for Steam Deck, Samsung DEX and Mac (M1). In bed, on a plane or just on a bus, playing games with Steam Deck and Airs is so much more immersive. Watching a movie with Airs is almost as good as watching it on a big TV and I never would have thought I use these glasses with my macs for productivity. But so far I used them for working on documents on 3 screens, editing video or mixing a song. Of course you will get some eye strain after some time and the glasses will get a bit uncomfortable after some hours. But it’s no comparison to any VR headset out there. Even the new generation like Pico or Quest Pro are more bulky and tiring to wear over time. Of course that’s VR and not AR but I experienced that I’m using VR headsets less and less. The Airs are that good. Amazon delivered to Germany in 4 days without any issues which is an amazing service. And now stop reading and get them!

Last update. Company did respond to my email. They asked for my address and sent a Fed Ex to pick it up free of charge. They repaired my glasses no charge. I never had a company do this. So I will give my original star review. I would recommend the glasses.

Update. This company will not respond to any email. I had two issues. The first one I was able to fix. However the second needed attention. The right arm of the glasses is cracking. Just from normal use. I would have paid for them to be fixed. Even tho they were poorly made. But I’ve yet to get a response.

Wanted to update: I was originally going to return the item, but changed my mind. Come to find out, you can actually move the nose piece to fit your face. It does put more pressure on one side of my nose, and can hurt over a period of time, but it’s small price to pay for what you get. Now I’m able to see clearly on both sides. There is still some blurring on the far corners, but its not too bad when you’re playing a game, or watching a movie. There is also still a bit of a glare, but again, you can get used it it. I added another star. It would be perfect if the screen would either say in one place, or if you could make the TV smaller, but for me it’s not possible.

Also, to mention, it’s plug and play USB-C to USB-C. So it’s easy to use. If you have a comparable phone I think you can update the glasses and use other functions.

Again, everyone face are different and not perfectly symmetric. So if you have a crooked face like me, you will want to play around with the different nose pieces that are included. You are able to pull and tug on one side of the nose piece to help with any imbalances. I didn’t know this until doing more research.

I play the Steam Deck, and the large screen helps so much. Right now I believe these are the best glasses available. Next year will be a different story for sure. But take your time to make sure they fit your face.

If the glasses fit correctly, this would be easily a 5. However, the field of view is a little too narrow. Everyone head and face is a different size. Come to find out, mind left eye must be a little lower. It’s impossible to get a correct fit. If you were able to move or fix the screen, this would help of fix the situation. But the monitor is fixed into one position.

Also, if you don’t have the correct phone, you can’t update the product. I tried to update on my Steam Deck, (PC), but it just wouldn’t work.

I was going to return it, but even with the issues. I think I will still use the product a lot. The field of view got better watching a Netflix movie. I have to keep moving the glasses until I find a good enough position to see it. But when I do, it’s very good.

I don’t understand why they don’t have an app for every device, or made the glassses wifi. Maybe the update has fixed these issues, but again. I’m not able to update it.

If you can return the product and don’t mind sending it back, I will say give it a try. If you have no issues seeing through the glasses, it’s worth it in my option. However, if your eyes don’t fix into the very narrow parameters, you won’t be able to enjoy it.

I use this with an iPad Mini 6 and it works fantastically with Netflix. Play the content, shut off the iPad screen, and enjoy! What's great about these, is that it's actually comfortable for long viewing sessions! The screen itself is the sharpest I've seen, much sharper than my HP Reverb 2 VR headset. You can still see some pixelation, but you really got to focus in on them, but for movie watching experience, definitely enjoyable and pixelation doesn't seem like an issue! I tried using on my PC for a little bit of gaming, while it is do-able, screen tearing is an issue for me, even with V-Sync. In regard to the perception of size of the screen, it's more like an arm's length to a 24-to-27-inch monitor to me, but I only plan to use the screen mirror option and don't plan on using Nebula app. Really happy with my purchase and would highly recommend these to entertainment viewers who want a comfortable way to watch things in bed!

The screen is sharp and has good quality image and it worked fine with the steam deck after a couple step on my pc to activate them.

Unfortunately the glasses needs improvement for comfort. It's hard to get the sweet spot for it not to show distortion and chromatic aberration on the borders of the screen and there are a lot of flare, glare and reflection in the lens.

It is as tiring for the eyes as any vr headset and I can't play long even laying down in bed, the glasses are making the back of my head hurt after a while because they are too tight even with some adjustments.

It's an interesting product and I can see the potential in the concept, but at the price it is right now with almost no cellphones compatible with it, it's a hard sell.

I have purchased these glasses for watching movies and it works fine. It is little bit costly. It price should be around 35 to 40k. The built-in speakers are very below average. The app required called nebula is not available in indian google play store so I have downloaded it from third party sources.
Pros
1 Display quality is very good
2. Build quality is nice.
3. Packaging is also good.
Cons.
1. Price is too high
2. Built in speakers are very low in sound.
3. You have to find nebula application from other sources as it is not available in Google Play store in India.

Very good product as of now and could be imrpoved. XREAL beam is not worth it due to the lag. Far better than ROKID AIR which is at higher price.

I am amazed to see such amazing display. I have Playstation VR2 as well but the display here is unmatched. Plugged to my MacBook pro 16 inch M2 and stunned. Then downloaded NEBULA, it wasnt working for me as I have OS SONOMA. Please note this that it has problem right now with SONOMA OS. Then plugged it into One plus 7 pro, it worked. The display is another level. You won't feel the price and you will feel really satisfying and stunning display. iPhone 13 pro, it wont work, nor it will work directly with PS5 one plugged in directly. All tested by myself.
So, a great buy and I am sure Xreal Beam will be available soon in amazon India soon. Really waiting for that launch for full utility.
